the stability and alter the riding character-
istics of the bicycle, particularly regarding
steering and braking.
13. Never leave the child unattended in
the carrier.
14. Make sure the bicycle is stable and
under control by using the assistance of a
second adult when loading and unloading
the child.
15. Never leave the child in the carrier with
the bicycle supported only by the kick-
stand.
16. A rear reector that complies with
CPSC regulations must be visible whether
the carrier is on the bicycle or not.
17. Before each ride, ensure the mounted
carrier does not interfere with braking,
pedaling, or steering of the bicycle.
18. Never ride the bicycle at night without
adequate lighting.
19. Always remove the carrier from the bi-
cycle when the bicycle is being transported
on a motor vehicle. This is necessary as the
force of the high wind on the carrier may
degrade or damage the carrier to the point
that it will not perform reliably.
20. Presence of a child carrier on a bicycle
may require alteration of the method used
by the rider to mount or dismount the
bicycle. Care must be taken whenever the
rider gets on or off the bicycle.
21. The rider should ride at reduced
speeds and with extra care when using a
child carrier.
22. Do not use this or any other child seat
on a bicycle which has rear suspension or
a suspension seat post, as the seat may
come off and injure the child.

to your child.
1. Read all the instructions before assem-
bling or using the Cocoon Child Carrier.
2. See that the Quick-Release buckles are
fastened and the straps are adjusted, for
a snug but comfortable t. Test shoulder

child.
3. In the event that the child carrier is
involved in an accident, check to be sure
that it functions properly before it is used
again. Check for structural damage and
replace the seat if it is damaged.
